Brightening the futures of our students and educators
The We Love Our School program facilitates positive learning environments for children and educators by improving school facilities, community centers, and early childhood centers in low-income communities. Research shows that the school’s architecture, color schemes, equipment, and outer appearance play a role in pupils’ mood and engagement.
We Love Our Schools hopes to increase student performance and teacher satisfaction by improving schools’ outer appearance and updating technology in under-resourced communities that may not have materials to renovate their facilities.
Renovation for Success
The slightest improvement to a school building can brighten a student’s day and encourage them to learn. The International WeLoveU Foundation aspires to help schools by:
- Painting touch-ups and murals
- Updating a classroom’s learning center
- Planting, weeding and yard cleaning
- Heavy-duty cleaning
- Updating school equipment
Beautification projects vary depending on the need. Please email Education@weloveuusa.org to discuss school projects. The We Love Our Schools program aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal #4, Quality Education.

Supported by Research
School renovation projects may also reduce crime in and around schools. Columbia University’s School of Public Health revealed that revitalizing projects can drastically reduce neighborhood crime by nearly a third.
The Intl. WeLoveU Foundation’s Clean and Green Project supported this theory when volunteers restored a vacant lot in Philadelphia. Statistics after the project showed a 37% decrease in criminal activity and a 33% decrease in arrests post-beautification.
