WeLoveU helps students reach their full potential

WeLoveU identifies communities most pressing needs to bridge the gap between students and the necessary tools to receive an inclusive, equitable and quality education. Educational activities and programs established by the WeLoveU Foundation support students in and out of schools.

Achieving quality education, the fourth Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs), along the East Coast may involve different components in comparison to other countries. Whether in the United States or across international borders, WeLoveU is ready to help students reach their full potential.

Closing the Homework Gap

WeLoveU aims to be a source of comfort to students, families and teachers whose lives have been shaken due to the coronavirus pandemic. New challenges with remote learning such as not having access to computers or necessary equipment is creating an obstacle out of students’ control, the homework gap. It is the inability to learn and complete assignments and homework due to limited access to technology.

To facilitate the school year, WeLoveU launched the Closing the Homework Gap program to identify schools in need of computers and donate equipment.

Brightening Children’s
Futures Through Books

Children’s building blocks to success begin at an early stage of life. One of the tools that heavily contributes to their successful futures is books. Fortunately, many families have access to books in their homes, schools, and libraries, but it doesn’t stop there.

Now, children’s hospitals are also implementing reading programs for children and young adults to take part in during their hospital stay. Books enable them to improve their reading skills, learn new words, spend quality time with family, and find strength and hope in stories. In some facilities, they can even return home with a new book.

However, the demand for books in hospital’s is increasing. To ensure children have access to books, WeLoveU and its dedicated volunteers have provided facilities with nearly 4,000 new books for pediatric patients.

What we do is not only share the books with them, but let them go home with books. I always tell parents the best thing you can do with your kids is read to them. This is a terrific start to have the resources to allow us to do that. Thank you very much for what you do and keep doing it. You’re making a difference in the world every day.
