Backpack & School Supply Donation Event
One backpack will be given per student along with school supplies. Also, come and enjoy indoor brain games, outdoor games, face painting, and a photo booth too.
Annually, the Intl. WeLoveU Foundation helps under-resourced communities with new backpacks and school supply donations. Our goal is to alleviate the financial burden families face during back-to-school shopping. On average, a household will spend more than $850 on school supplies every year. The Packs on Backs and Tools for Schools campaign brings happiness and excitement to the students kicking-off the new school year to receive the tools they need to succeed.
School supply donations are needed now more than ever
For many families, parents say they’re expecting to go into debt from back-to-school shopping. [1]
- Back-to-school supply spending increased 22% since 2019 [1].
- Inflation has hit a 41-year high causing the price of school supplies to increase by 15–30%.[1]
- The cost of wood pulp used to make paper has increased 50% over the last year.[1]
- The income gap is increasing. [1]
- School lists require additional items like laptops, headphones, hand sanitizer, tissues, and PPE due to COVID-19.
- Schools rely on donations from parent-teacher associations and non-profit organizations when funding is limited.
