March 24, 2021

NAPERVILLE, IL — To recognize the International WeLoveU Foundation’s tenacity to save lives in their community, the Versiti Blood Center of Illinois awarded the organization with their very own Beacon of Hope Award—as a Certificate of Appreciation.

The Versiti Certificate of Appreciation was awarded to the International WeLoveU Foundation for their ability to continuously encourage members of their organization and the surrounding communities to donate blood, saving thousands of lives in the Chicagoland area over the past seven years.

The Award reads:

This certificate is in recognition of the dedication and inspiration that the International WeLoveU Foundation has provided to local, national, and international communities in need.  Through our partnership holding blood drives in Illinois over the past 7 years, you encouraged 889 people to register for 791 donations saving up to 2,373 lives!

The gift of life is the greatest gift of all, and we cannot thank you enough for your generosity.

Last month, the organization partnered with Versiti to host a blood drive in conjunction with its National Blood Drive campaign. Between January and February, WeLoveU’s National Blood Drive 2021 has taken place in California, Illinois, Puerto Rico, New York, New Jersey, Michigan, Virginia, Colorado, and eight additional states. More than 1,320 pints of blood have been donated, saving over 4,170 lives.
