On Sunday, November 20, 2022, about 20 volunteers of the Intl. WeLoveU Foundation showed up bright and early at Kissena Park in Flushing, Queens, NY. Despite the low temperatures, the volunteers were ready to work. WeLoveU partnered with New York City’s Department of Parks and Recreation to help plant 200 trees. By doing so, volunteers aimed to promote a healthier environment, reduce air pollution, provide more oxygen, and support wildlife.

For many volunteers at Kissena Park, it was their first time planting trees. They listened attentively to the guide’s instructions on correctly planting each tree. The guides mentioned how hard it was for the trees to grow. Therefore, the volunteers moved carefully while planting each tree so they could grow healthy and strong. The holes had to be deep, wide and leveled enough to fit the soil surrounding the tree, and once measured, they had to break the tight bundle around the roots to spread and receive all the nutrients.
The tree planting at Kissena Park ran from 9 a.m. to noon, and with the help and efforts of the volunteers, planting 200 trees took roughly less than three hours. Their hard work is helping fulfill the Sustainable Development Goals. They were thanked for their exceptional work by the Kissena Park Civic Association President John J. Kelly III.
“You guys have a love for each other, and you work well as a team. You have a love for this planet Earth and helping us plant some trees because mother Earth is very important to us. Unfortunately, there have been some people who have polluted this planet and destroyed the planet for greed, but what I see in all of you is that you care about the planet, you care about yourselves, and you care about this organization. I think it’s a lovely organization. “We love you.” What better words could we use in the world today?”
The WeLoveU volunteers will continue to inspire others to join the Clean WORLD Movement initiative so that remarkable changes can reach many areas of our local communities.

Continuing to stand strong and practice the UN SDGs in the cold weather! Wonderful volunteer group! This organization has such a strong love for this planet and also those in it, it shows in everything they do! “We Love You” really is a beautiful phrase to hear. Terrific job!
Saving the earth one tree at a time! If all communities could have the same values as WeLoveU, the world would be a much better (and greener) place. Great job!
So true! Love seeing this great example from WeLoveU!
Now, the global village is suffering from all kinds of disasters. We all are living the same earth. True love from the bottom of our hearts will comforts others!
This organization is truly amazing! I don’t know many people who would do this type of thing for even their own family members, let alone, someone they don’t know. It warms my heart to know that there are people working to unite the whole world with love in the WeLoveU Foundation!
Volunteer work seems to start with empathizing with the pain of others. Let us participate in the volunteer work with WeLoveU Foundation.
