The International WeLoveU Foundation and Junior Achievement held an Earth Week webinar series for schools throughout Palm Beach and Treasure Coast County in Florida. From April 18 to April 22, 2022, more than 6,000 students joined through the Google Meet platform. In addition, Hayward Flow Control and Waste Management Inc. partnered with the organizations to spread environmental awareness.

Investing in Our Planet
The Earth Week webinars plan to raise awareness about our environment, existing initiatives to help maintain our ecosystem, and the role we can choose to play to invest in our planet. In fact, EarthDay.org presented this year’s Earth Day theme as “Invest in Our Planet.” The WeLoveU Foundation put the theme into practice by educating today’s youth with subject matter experts.
Meet Our Earth Week Speakers
Every morning, hundreds and thousands of students tuned in from school to hear from the speaker of the day. There were five speakers in total. Emily Surmont, Florida Department of Environmental Protection; Emma Green, Junior Achievement of the Palm Beaches & Treasure Coast; Gregg Weiss, Palm Beach County Commissioner; Dr. Marian, Tech Director of the U.S. Government; Diane Buhler, Friends of Palm Beach.

Dr. Marian shared that the bare daily essentials like water and food may not always be available if we don’t care for the Earth. “No matter how old you are or how much background you have on climate issues, you can get involved and make a difference. That’s the bottom line.” With the help of the guest speakers, the students understood that even small actions or decisions could make a significant impact collectively.
From the Classroom to the Beach
The International WeLoveU Foundation will also celebrate Earth Day outside the classroom with a beach cleanup. Join us on April 24, 2022, at Coral Cove Beach in Tequesta, FL. WeLoveU hopes people see every day as Earth Day to help each other and our planet for future generations.

Wow 6000 students joined the webinar! It is so important for the youth to be involved in preserving the environment.
So important for the youth to learn about the importance of preserving the environment at a young age! I still recycle avidly to this day because my parents instilled it in me as a child.
Thank you Miami for hosting such an important forum. It is most important to raise awareness on how we can all do our part locally to take care of the earth. Hope this sparks others to get up and out to take care of our home together ❤
Thank you so much for hosting this webinar and having Dr. Marian on. I definitely learned a lot and was pleased to learn that over 6,000 students participated. I definitely took a double take when I read that number.
Keep up the incredible work. The world needs you all.
