On Sunday, July 2, 2023, as part of the Clean WORLD Movement, the International WeLoveU Foundation conducted two cleanup events in the City of San Francisco. Over 180 participants from various chapters, such as San Francisco, Sacramento, San Jose, San Diego, and Reno, gathered to beautify Golden Gate Park in the morning. During the second half of the day, WeLoveU carried out a street cleanup in the Mission District.
The Golden Gate Park cleanup was organized in partnership with the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department. Full of appreciation, a staff member stated, “This hoard of angels have descended on our beautiful park to weed, beautify, and create a better habitat for birds and other wildlife.” Through such encouraging words, the volunteers worked even more enthusiastically to beautify the park. WeLoveU volunteers beautified over four acres of land, the approximate equivalent of four football fields, and removed more than 30 yards of weeds.

Volunteers completed 700 volunteer hours in one day. Two local news stations, Telemundo 48 and Fox KTUV, broadcasted the cleanup events to the local community, highlighting the importance of keeping the environment clean. The International WeLoveU Foundation in San Francisco will continue to strive to achieve the Clean WORLD Movement for the benefit of the global community.
