Massachusetts House of Representatives Honors WeLoveU with a Citation

WeLoveU Foundation receives Citation in MA House of Reps

Massachusetts State Representative Liz Miranda presents the Intl. WeLoveU Foundation with a special Citation.

On Wednesday, October 16, 2019, the Massachusetts House of Representatives honored the Intl. WeLoveU Foundation with a Citation for their devotional volunteerism. The President of the Intl WeLoveU Foundation East Coast Region and over a dozen WeLoveU volunteers from different regions in the state traveled to the Massachusetts State House in Boston for this special occasion.

Massachusetts State Representative Liz Miranda from the 5th Suffolk District awarded WeLoveU in this special way after working together at the Ceylon Park cleanup last month. Previously, WeLoveU had met with State Representative Liz Miranda a couple of times during her community office hours to discuss ways to serve the neighborhood in her respective district.

The recognition bestowed on the WeLoveU Foundation is a result from the volunteers dedicated efforts in Massachusetts over the past couple of years. After being formally presented and welcomed with an applause, each WeLoveU volunteer was introduced to their respective district state representative. Conversations began with the representatives asking to meet again to work together in the future.

The volunteers’ motivation to maintain a clean environment stems from their strong belief of taking care of the global village with the heart of a mother. The WeLoveU Foundation and its volunteers are keen to remaining true to the core values that it was founded on by Chairwoman Zahng Gil-jah. In each activity, the organization aspires to work with this mindset for its communities.
